About Us
Women in the Word is a non-denominational bible study committed to enriching the lives of women through an inductive study of God's word. By providing opportunity for discussion and fellowship, Women In The Word seeks to lead women into a saving knowledge of the Lord Jesus Christ, a greater understanding of God's word and a personal walk of holiness. Women in the Word is determined to maximize unity and minimize denominational differences. Women In The Word is proud to be the longest running women's bible study in Casper, boasting over 33 years of helping women grow in their faith. We average between 100 and 120 women ranging in age from their twenties to their nineties and in bible study experience from none to over twenty years. This diversity in age, denominational background, and bible study experience creates an environment where you can be mentored and mentor others. We learn from each other as we share our experiences, the lessons we have learned in life and what God is teaching us in our daily walk with Him. It is a truly enriching environment. Registration is $50 and covers your bible study books for the entire season.
Where we meet:
Our study season begins in September and ends in April, following the school district calendar for vacations and holidays. We meet at Highland Park Community Church in the sanctuary and adult classroom area.
If the schools have a snow day on a Wednesday, Women In the Word will not meet that day. Please see the map at the bottom of the page for directions to the church

How it works:
We meet each Wednesday beginning at 9:15 a.m. in the sanctuary with worship and a short introduction to the weekly study. We then break into small groups from 9:45 to 10:45 a.m. to discuss our lesson for the week by going over the questions that you have answered throughout the week. The discussion also includes open ended questions that encourage sharing. The groups range in size from 8 to 15 women of mixed ages, denominations and bible knowledge levels. We finish at 10:45 a.m. and children are picked up by 11:00 a.m. On occasion, our small groups have fellowships to build unity and friendship. These will be from 10:45 a.m. to 11:45 a.m.

What we study:
We utilize inductive, verse by verse, bible studies like those written by Joy of Living Bible Studies. We believe these types of studies promote a more complete understanding of the word of God and help us apply that truth to our lives. The lessons will encourage you to have daily time with God, usually taking between 20 and 30 minutes each day to complete. The bible study books we are using will be available for purchase when you arrive. Scholarships are available.

What about my children?
Women In the Word offers free children's ministry and child care for children ages 0-6. Your children will be in the same building as you in Highland Park Community Church's wonderfully equipped nursery and young child area. All child care workers must pass background checks and the leaders are CPR certified. Highland Park has partnered with us to ensure your children will be safe and properly cared for. Our Children's Coordinator and her team select activities that provide a Christ centered environment that your children will enjoy. This enables you to feel completely secure in allowing us to care for your children while you focus on learning more about God.
